The series is launching a new residency for highly-talented young artists of color called HYAR (Higher) – the Horizons Young Artist Residency. Each season, this program will welcome some of the top young classical musicians in the country to spend extended time in the Capital Region to perform on the series and at community locations, while working directly with local high school and college music students in masterclasses.
Our inaugural HYAR artist welcomes a gifted violist finishing his studies at Juilliard, who has already been a young artist in residence at public radio’s ‘Performance Today.’
